The City of Waconia has engaged the Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the future of recreation, fitness, aquatics, and sports in Waconia. SFC aims to provide actionable recommendations after addressing sports program and recreation facility needs in the community. The goal of this community needs assessment is to engage with Waconia's population, review all existing recreation and sport facilities and programs in the community, and produce community-informed recommendations for opportunities in Waconia. SFC will ultimately produce a community needs assessment report rooted in experience and expertise, provide solutions that drive reliable service delivery policies, and create a long-range plan that is responsive to the City’s current and future resources related to community recreation.
